Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Townsville 1 October

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle traffic crash involving an e-scooter in Deeragun on September 30.

Emergency crews were called to the crash at the intersection of Deeragun Road and the Bruce Highway about 5.15pm, where initial investigations indicate an e-scooter rider crashed with a Mitsubishi Pajero and then a motorbike.

The 15-year-old female e-scooter rider from Townsville died at the scene.

The 65-year-old motorbike rider from Ingham sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 36-year-old female driver of the Pajero, who is from Townsville, was not injured in the crash.
