Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Toogoom

Police are investigating a fatal vehicle and pedestrian crash at Toogoom last night, October 15.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Toogoom Cane Road and Pialba Burrum Road around 6.25pm, following reports of a woman being struck by a GWM Cannon ute.

A 39-year-old Waterford West woman was treated at the scene for critical injuries; however, she was later declared deceased.

The driver of the ute, a 31-year-old Eli Waters man, was physically uninjured and stopped at the scene to render assistance.

Anyone in the area at the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
