Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Gold Coast

A 21-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Mudgeeraba last night, October 17.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.05pm, a Yamaha YZ400F trail bike was travelling east along Franklin Driver when it crashed into a tow truck, travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider, a 21-year-old Mudgeeraba man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he has since passed away.

The driver of the truck, a 41-year-old Robina man, was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
