Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Kalkie

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal two-vehicle traffic crash at Kalkie last night, November 1.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8:20pm, a 2021 Mazda CX-8 and a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder crashed on Fe Walker Street, west of Ashfield Road.

An occupant of the Mazda, a 57-year-old Bargara woman, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The other occupants of the Mazda, a 63-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman, and a 30-year-old man, all from Bargara, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 46-year-old Norville man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, and investigators are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
