The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Ransome this morning, January 26.
Just before 9am a blue Holden Commodore and red Mitsubishi Lancer travelling on Rickertt Road have collided at the intersection with Chelsea Road.
The driver of the Holden, a 37-year-old Manly West man, died at the scene.
A 4-year-old boy, a passenger in the Holden, was transported to the Queensland Childrens Hospital, where he has since died.
The driver and sole occupant of the Mitsubishi, a 29-year-old Birkdale man, sustained minor injuries.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses, or anyone with relevant vision to contact police.
