Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Kingston

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Kingston today, February 22.

At approximately 10.40am, a white Holden Barina and a red Ford Focus collided on Anthony Street before the Ford Focus left the road and crashed into a mobility scooter.

The 76-year-old Kingston man who was on the mobility scooter was declared deceased at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy, the driver of the Ford Focus, was taken into custody at the scene.

Initial investigations indicate a male and female, believed to be occupants of the Ford Focus, were observed leaving the scene on foot.

The driver and sole occupant of the Holden Barina was not physically injured.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV vision is urged to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations remain ongoing.
