Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Goomeri 21 March

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash at Goomeri yesterday afternoon, March 20.

Just before 2pm a vehicle was travelling west on the Wide Bay Highway when it left the roadway and hit a tree between Grant Road and Boonara Street.

The passenger, a 71-year-old Murgon woman, died at the scene.

The driver, a 78-year-old Murgon man, was airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Investigations are continuing.
