Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Bowen 24 March

The Forensic Crash unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Bowen this morning, March 24.

Police and emergency services were called about 5.55am to the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Scully Street following reports of a two-vehicle traffic crash.

One person was declared deceased at the scene.

Two other patients were transported to Bowen Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The Bruce Highway, at the intersection of Scully Street, is closed in both directions.

All traffic is being diverted through to Drays Road to Bootooloo Road, however, it is not suitable for heavy vehicles.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information, dashcam or CCTV vision, to come forward.
