Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Pimpama 12 April

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Pimpama yesterday evening, April 11.

Initial investigations indicate that around 6:55pm, a Yamaha YZF-R6 motorbike was travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway near the Pimpama River Bridge before colliding with a truck.

The rider of the motorbike, a 21-year-old Virginia woman, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or dashcam vision to come forward.
