The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Coulson, in the Scenic Rim, overnight, April 11.
Initial investigations indicate that around 10:30pm, a Ford Courier utility was travelling along Ipswich Boonah Road, near Beaudesert Boonah Road, before it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, a 52-year-old Coulson man sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 52-year-old Coulson woman was declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or CCTV/dashcam vision to come forward.
