The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) is investigating after a man died following a serious crash north of Tiaro yesterday morning (March 22).
Initial investigations indicate around 9.30am, a Holden Commodore sedan and a Mitsubishi Outlander collided while travelling in opposite directions on the Bruce Highway near Charnocks Road.
The drivers from both vehicles, a 21-year-old Roma woman and a 28-year-old Kalkie man, were airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
A third person, the passenger from the Mitsubishi, was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Overnight, the 28-year-old Kalkie man died while in hospital.
The FCU is continuing its investigations.
