The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following the death of a man in a single vehicle crash at Forrest Beach this evening.
Police were called to the incident, on Whiteapple Street, at 5.30pm, after receiving reports a utility had left the road and crashed through a fence before colliding with a tree.
The driver of the utility, a 63-year-old Forrest Beach man, was transported to Ingham Hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The Forensic Crash Unit is asking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to contact police.
