A 49-year-old woman has died following a two-car crash at Torbanlea overnight.
Around 8.30pm, early investigations suggest a Holden Statesman was travelling south along the Bruce Highway when it collided with Kia Carnival travelling in the opposite direction.
The Torbanlea woman, who was the sole occupant of the Holden Statesman, died at the scene despite efforts of passers-by and emergency services.
The driver of the Kia Carnival, a 44-year-old woman, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. A 44-year-old male passenger of the Kia was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are ongoing.
