A man has died following a traffic crash involving a cyclist in Woorim yesterday afternoon.
At about 4:30pm a cyclist was travelling eastbound along First Avenue towards Woorim.
Initial investigations suggest a car was travelling behind the cyclist and attempted to swerve to avoid colliding with the cyclist.
The cyclist, a 69-year-old Bribie Island man, was declared deceased at the scene.
The driver, a 69-year-old Tiaro man, was not injured in the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit continues to investigate.
