Police Responding To Fatal Truck Crash At Brassall

Police are investigating a fatal truck crash near Brassall yesterday, November 19.

Initial investigations indicate, about 12.45pm, a light truck was travelling east on the Warrego Highway when it lost control and struck a b-double cattle truck and a car.

The driver of the light truck, a 56-year-old Marsden man, died at the scene.

No one else was seriously injured.

The Warrego Highway was closed for a number of hours and reopened about 1am this morning, November 20.

The b-double truck was carrying cattle and due to the crash, a number of animals had to be euthanised.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
