Police Responding To Multi-vehicle Crash At Wyong

Emergency services are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in Wyong today.

Just after 1.30pm (Sunday 27 October 2024), emergency services were called to Pacific Highway, Wyong, following reports a woman had been hit by a car in the northbound lanes.

Shortly prior, four vehicles – a Mazda Cx5, Honda Odyssey, Hyundai Kona and a truck – collided in the southbound lanes.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and have established a crime scene.

The woman died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified; however, her death is not being treated as suspicious.

One woman – who was in one of the four vehicles which had collided in the southbound lanes – was taken to Gosford Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

The other drivers and passengers of the four vehicles were uninjured and treated at the scene for shock.

All northbound and southbound lanes of the Pacific Highway remain closed and traffic diversions are in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for updates.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
