A female motorcyclist is in a serious condition after a crash at Chelona this afternoon.
Preliminary inquiries indicate two motorcyclists were headed northbound on the Bruce Highway around 3.10pm. They overtook a number of vehicles and as they returned to the lane, collided with each other causing both riders to loose control.
One of the riders, a 47-year-old Rockhampton woman, was transported to the Mackay Base Hospital were she remains in a serious condition.
The second rider, a 49-year-old Rockhampton man, remains in Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam vision to contact police.
