Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Kalkie

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash involving a car and a motorbike in Kalkie last night, March 13.

Initial information indicates a Kawasaki ER-6N motorbike and a Ford Ranger crashed at the intersection of Bundaberg Ring Road and Telegraph Road around 6.45pm.

The motorbike rider, a 35-year-old Kalkie man, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Ranger, a 28-year-old Kalkie man, was not physically injured.

Police are appealing to witnesses of the incident or anyone with dashcam footage of a black 2007 Kawasaki ER-6N motorcycle travelling north along Bundaberg Ring Road, Kalkie between 6.15pm and 6.45pm to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
