Police Search For Man Missing From Bankstown

Police are appealing for assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south west.

Manuel Alves, aged 75, was last seen attending a food festival on Olympic Parade, Bankstown, about 2.30pm today (Saturday 27 July 2024).

Police were alerted when his family couldn't locate him.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command conducted a search of the area; however, were unable to locate Mr Alves.

Concerns are held for his welfare as he lives with dementia and doesn't have a phone.

Mr Alves, from Bundanoon, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, thin build, with light brown hair and a white beard.

Anyone who sees Mr Alves or might know his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
