Police are co-ordinating an extensive search operation near Imbil for a 22-year-old man reported missing from Nambour.
Tarci Carey (pictured) was last seen at approximately 4am on Friday (August 5) leaving a Meditation Court address in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer (pictured), and he has not made contact with anyone since.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour is out of character.
On Monday August 8, it was reported that Tarci's vehicle had been seen on a 4WD track in Kenilworth.
A subsequent search of the area located the vehicle abandoned.
A co-ordinated search and rescue operation was launched in the Brooloo State Forest area surrounding the location of the vehicle, which will recommence this morning utilising police on foot, motorbikes and ATV along with SES volunteers, SES drones and aerial assets.
Tarci is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 190cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey jumper with blue and red stripes and long black pants.
Anyone with information regarding Tarci Carey's whereabouts or who may have seen the movements of the vehicle pictured between August 5 and August 8, is urged to contact police.
