The search for a man last seen entering the water at Moonee Beach on the state's north has commenced today.
Taewoo Kim, aged 21, was last seen about 1pm on Thursday (26 December 2024), when he entered waters at Moonee Beach, off Dammerel Crescent Emerald Beach.
About 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 27 December 2024), police were notified when Taewoo had not returned to his accommodation.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District attended Moonee Beach where items believed to belong to Taewoo were located.
Local police, with the assistance of the Marine Area Command, SES, Surf Life Saving and Marine Rescue NSW have commenced a search of the area.
Taewoo is described as being of Asian appearance, of slim build, about 175cm tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
