Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Phillip Island man John.
The 87-year-old was last seen at his Surf Beach home about 7.45am today.
He is described as 170cm tall, medium build with receding grey hair and is clean shaven.
John is known to frequent the Surf Beach, San Remo and Cowes areas.
It is believed he is on foot but does not have money or a phone with him.
Police have released an image of John and urge anyone with information on him whereabouts to contact Wonthaggi Police Station on 5671 4100.
