Police Search London Lakes for Firearms, Drugs and Stolen Items

40 police officers and Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tasmania) rangers executed search warrants on four properties in and around London Lakes to investigate poaching, drug offences and property crime yesterday.

As a result of these searches, a 33 year old London Lakes man has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking and was bailed to appear in Hobart Magistrates Court on 8 March 2023.

Senior Sergeant John Parker said the searches resulted in the location of significant quantities of cannabis as well as stolen property valued at approximately $50,000.

"At least five others will also be charged on summons," said Senior Sergeant Parker.

The investigation is ongoing.
