Police are calling for public assistance after a small camp was found abandoned on Sydney’s South Coast, NSW Police say.
About 11am today, police were notified of an abandoned camp at the rock cliffs at Mermaid Inlet, south of Little Beacroft Head.
Fishing equipment was also found at the camp.
Police have concerns for the welfare of the owner of the camp, as it appears the camp has been unattended for several days.
Police have commenced a search of the area, with the assistance of Lifesaver helicopter.
