Police are asking for public assistance to locate 86-year-old Thomas Nixon missing since yesterday morning, Thursday March 30.
Thomas is believed to have left a Mt Colliery Road address driving a gold 2003 Toyota Camry with Queensland Registration 408CJ8 before attending a Fitzroy Street, Warwick business just after 11am.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition which causes disorientation and lack of awareness for his safety, especially around roads and due to recent inclement weather and potential for flash flooding in and around Killarney.
Police believe Thomas was most likely to have travelled his return journey from Warwick to Tannymorel via Junabee Road and urge locals and landholders along this route to report sightings of him or his vehicle immediately.
Investigators also appealing for locals nearby possible alternate routes along Warwick Killarney Road and Warwick Yangan Road to come forth with any relevant sightings.
Thomas is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall with a slim build, with grey hair and stubble. He has blue eyes.
Anyone with information on Thomas' whereabouts is urged to contact police; including passing motorists who may have given him a lift.
