Police are seeking public assistance following reports of an unknown man becoming disoriented and possibly lost at Kondalilla Falls National Park near Flaxton earlier today.
Around 5.30pm, hikers notified police after coming across the man, who they believed to be confused and aged in his 70s.
A search between the top waterfall and entrance involving police officers and the Dog Squad into the night has failed to locate the unknown man.
The man is described as Caucasian, around 160cm in height, wearing a grey hat and shorts.
Anyone who may have seen the man or knowns of anyone hiking in this area matching the description is urged to contact police immediately.
