Police seek help to find missing woman at Southport 9 November

Police are asking for public assistance to help locate 66-year-old Catherine Closter (pictured) missing from Southport this afternoon.

She was last seen just after 5.40pm today, Wednesday November 9 on foot near the Gold Coast University g-link light rail station near Parklands Drive.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare as she has a medical condition which causes disorientation and lack of awareness for her safety, especially around roads. Motorists are urged to drive with caution in and around the area.

Catherine is described as Caucasian in appearance, 165cm tall with a proportionate build with short curly brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a light blue hoodie, white three quarter length whtie pants with pattern and white and black stripe runners. She was carrying a black handbag.

Residents in Southport and surrounds are asked to check under their houses, in sheds and carports for signs of Catherine.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police; particularly motorists who may have seen Catherine or given her a lift.
