Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 73-year-old woman reported missing from East Mackay.
Maryann Peters was last seen near Harvison Street around 11:30am this morning and has not been heard from since.
Police and family hold concern for her welfare as she has a medical condition that causes confusion and disorientation.
Maryanne is described as Caucasian in appearance, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a multi-coloured top.
Residents in the vicinity of East Mackay are being asked to check their backyards in case she has wandered onto a nearby property.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact police.
