Police Seek Help to Find Stolen Vehicle in Narromine

Police are appealing for public assistance as they search for a police vehicle that was stolen in Narromine yesterday.

About 3.10pm on Friday (6 September 2024), emergency services were called to Cragie Lea Road, Narromine, following reports of a car fire.

On arrival, officers attached to Orana-Mid Western Police District located an unidentified vehicle well alight on the train line.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fire and there were no injuries reported.

While officers were conducting inquiries at the scene, a marked police vehicle – a 4WD Mitsubishi Pajero – was stolen by a man.

The vehicle was last seen on McGrane Way, Narromine.

The man is described as being aged in his late teens, Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall, medium build, and brown hair.

Police are conducting an operation in Narromine town and surrounding areas.
