Police Seek Help To Locate Missing Man Maroun

Police are appealing for public assistance as they search for missing Thornbury man Maroun.

The 90-year-old was last seen leaving his address on Clarendon Street about 6.30am on 1 July

Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he lives with Alzheimer's, and his disappearance is extremely out of character.

He is described as being about 170cm tall, of solid build with grey hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and a red and blue checkered shirt.

Maroun walks with a cane and speaks limited English. He is fluent in Arabic.

He is known to frequent the Thornbury, Northcote, Preston and Reservoir areas.

Investigators have released an image of Maroun in the hope that someone can provide information on his current whereabouts.
