Police Seek Info After Triple Zero Call in Western NSW

Police are appealing for information from the public as they investigate a call to Triple Zero (000) from a woman claiming to have been injured in a crash in western NSW.

About 9.30am today (Wednesday 15 January 2025), a Triple Zero (000) call was made by a woman telling the operator she had been injured in a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of the Kamilaroi Highway and Bundella Road near Quirindi, about 60km south-west of Tamworth.

Emergency services attended and searched the area; however, there was no sign of a crash, and no drivers have been reported missing or overdue.

Officers from Oxley Police District are asking that anyone with information about a possible overdue driver – or any information that may be relevant to assist police – to call Tamworth Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
