Police seek info following fatality in Blayney

Police from Chifley Local Area Command are preparing a brief for the Corner following the death of a man in Blayney earlier this month., NSW Police say

Between Friday 10 March and Saturday 11 March 2017, a man was riding his Honda CBR600 motorcycle on a stretch of road known as the Millthorpe to Blayney Road.

At a bend in the road coming in to Blayney the 33-year-old rider has hit a guard and fallen from the bike.

In the afternoon of Saturday 11 March 2017, the bike was located on Millthorpe Road.

Details of the bike were taken and an investigation commenced.

About 8.30am on Sunday 12 March 2017, emergency services returned to Millthorpe Road and commenced a search.

The body of the 33-year-old rider was found in bushland over the guardrail and down an embankment.

A crime scene was established and was examined by forensic specialists.

Officers are now trying to piece together exactly when the rider has come off his bike and how the crash occurred.

The bike has been described as orange and black in colour with ‘Repsol’ graphics on both sides.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have seen the man riding his bike on Millthorpe Road, or has information that could help police, should contact Bathurst Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
