Police Seek Info on Stones Corner Serious Assault

Detectives have released additional images of a man who may be able to assist in the investigation into the serious assault of an infant at a park in Stones Corner on August 27.

Initial investigations indicate a 9-month-old baby boy was with family at Hanlon Park around midday, when a man not known to the group approached them and poured a hot liquid onto the child, before leaving the scene.

The man, pictured, is described as around 30 to 40-years-old, of a proportionate build, with tanned skin.

He was wearing a black hat, glasses, a shirt and shorts.

The Child Protection and Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who has further information in relation to this matter to contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
