Oxley Detectives have released CCTV images and are reappealing for public assistance after an armed robbery near Narrabri yesterday.
Just after 4:10am (Monday 1 April 2019), police were called to a service station on the Newell Highway, Bellata, after reports of an armed robbery.
Police have been told two males approached the counter and threatened the attendant.
The two men left with a sum of money and were last seen travelling south on the Newell Highway in a vehicle (no description at this stage).
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
Officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak with.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 188cm tall, with a skinny build and was wearing a distinctive red shirt.
The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, with a solid build, fair skin, short black hair and was wearing a 'scary clown' mask.
Police are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the area, particularly any vehicles seen driving at speed or erratically on the Newell Highway in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday 1 April 2019).
