Police Seek Information After Armed Robbery - SF Clach

Police have released CCTV footage following an alleged break and enter in Sydney's south-west last year.

In April 2023, officers attached to St George Police Area Command established Strike Force Clach and commenced an investigation into an alleged armed robbery at a business on Kingsgrove Road, Kingsgrove on Tuesday 4 April 2023.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command were told two unknown men – one armed with an axe and the other with a firearm – allegedly entered shop and stole an amount of tobacco along with cash before fleeing the scene through Mashman Avenue.

Following initial inquiries, about 3pm on Saturday 15 April 2023, police arrested a 30-year-old man at an address on Demaine Avenue, Bexley North.

Police also seized a number of firearms, ammunition, an axe and clothing for forensic examination.

He was charged with a number of robbery and firearm offences and convicted in April 2023.

While an investigation into the incident is still underway, police are appealing for information to identify a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, medium build, 175cm-185cm tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
