Police are appealing for information after a suspicious death in the States far west.
About 9am on Thursday 16 January 2025, officers from Barrier Police District were called to Log Bridge Road at Wentworth, following up reports of a scrub fire.
During a search of the area, police located the body of a man.
He is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in his 50s.
A crime scene has been established and forensically examined.
Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death, which has been deemed suspicious.
A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of the man's death.
As inquiries continue, police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Wentworth and Log Bridge Road over the last week, and who may have information, CCTV, and/or dashcam vision, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
