Police Seek Information After Break And Enter At Tumut

Police are appealing for information following a series of break and enter offences in the state's South.

Between 5.30pm Tuesday 13 August 2024 to 7am Wednesday 14 August 2024, a café on Elm Drive, Tumut was subject to a break and enter which saw its CCTV damaged and items stolen.

Between 6pm Tuesday 13 August 2024 to 7am Wednesday 14 August 2024, a café on Russell Street, Tumut was subject to in a break and enter. The offender entered the premises by forcing the lock and gaining entry. No items have been reported stolen.

About 8.20pm Tuesday 13 August 2024, a sporting goods store on Russell Street, Tumut was subject to a break and enter. The offender forced entry into the premises, rummaged through and left. No items have been reported stolen.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District have commenced inquiries and are seeking to identify a man wearing a backpack and riding a bright orange coloured motorcycle around the time of the offences.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incidents and are appealing for anyone who may be able to identify the person or vehicles involved to contact Tumut Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
