Police Seek Information After Crash At Orange

Police are appealing for public assistance after an alleged hit and run crash in the state's west.

Just after 9:30pm yesterday (Sunday 15 September 2024), emergency services were called to Hill Street, Orange, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Central West Police District were told a 19-year-old man was crossing Lister Drive at the intersection of Hill Street when a blue Toyota Corolla allegedly crossed to the wrong side of the road and hit him while he was within a pedestrian refuge.

The driver of the Corolla has allegedly failed-to-stop.

A short time later the pedestrian attended Orange Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for assistance to identify the male driver of the blue Toyota Corolla who is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20's with brown hair and a beard.

Police believe he may be able to assist with inquiries.

The car has a damaged front end and bonnet.
