Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into several suspicious fires in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
About 3.20am on Tuesday 18 March 2025, emergency services were called to Reddy Street, Edgecliff, following reports of a car on fire.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and found a white Mitsubishi SUV well alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the fire; however, the vehicle was destroyed.
There have been no reports of injuries.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced.
About 3.30am, police located a burnt chair at the intersection of Glenmore Road and Cascade Street, Paddington.
Police are continuing to investigate a fire on Jersey Road, Paddington about 3.45am on Thursday 19 September 2024 and believe the three incidents are linked.
As a part of the investigations, police have released vision of a man, who they believe was in the vicinity at the time of the car fire and may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180 tall, of medium build, with neck length black hair.
