Police are appealing for information following a pursuit in the state's north.
About 3.10pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025, officers attached to New England Police District attempted to stop a dark blue D22 model 2003 Nissan Navara utility, which was being driven erratically on Ross Street, Inverell.
When the driver failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued onto Arthur and Clive Streets before it was terminated near Moore Street.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area but the driver was not located.
A short time later, the vehicle was sighted on Loves Lanes, Long Plain, where the driver exited the utility and entered another vehicle, a silver Ford Territory station wagon, before he left the scene.
