Police are appealing for public assistance as an investigation continues into an assault in Sydney's east earlier this week.
About 11pm on Saturday (21 December 2024), an 18-year-old man was standing with friends at the rear of a licenced premises on Marine Parade in Maroubra, when they were approached by two unknown men.
One of the men described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, in his twenties and wearing a face mask, stabbed the 18-year-old man.
Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated an 18-year-old man with stab wounds to his back.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced.
As the investigation continues, police have released CCTV of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
One of the men is described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, in his 20's, with a rat's tail hairstyle, wearing a white hat, a red and navy jumper with a motif, black tracksuit pants and white shoes.
The other man is described as in his 20's, wearing a white bucket hat, a black jumper, black shorts, and white shoes.
The two men were seen leaving in a white vehicle.
