Police Seek Information Follow Hoppers Crossing Fire

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are searching for a man responsible for a fire at a café in Hoppers Crossing in May.

It is believed an unknown offender attended the drive through of a commercial premises on Heaths Road about 12.30am on 31 May.

The offender poured an accelerant through a window then set it alight before fleeing the scene.

Luckily, no one was injured.

The resulting fire was significant and is believed to have caused several million dollars' worth of damage.

The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined; however, police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
