Police Seek Information: Marine Incident At Cairns

Water Police Cairns are appealing for witnesses following a crash involving two boats in the Trinity Inlet on Sunday, September 1.

Initial investigations indicate around 11am, a commercial jetboat struck a 4.6m aluminium boat on the south eastern side of Admiralty Island opposite the entrance of Redbank Creek.

The three people on the 4.6m aluminium boat, sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, including a vessel that was anchored near by or anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV/dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
