Police Seek Information On Aggravated Robbery In Darwin 5 June

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred in Darwin City yesterday.

Around 4:40pm, police received reports that 2 male youths, one of which was armed with an edged weapon, had allegedly stolen a bag from an employee at a restaurant in the Vic Arcade, The Mall.

A short time later, the youths attended a café on Cavenagh Street where they allegedly threatened a security guard with an edged weapon, after the guard confronted them whilst they attempted to steal items within the store. They subsequently assaulted the guard and fled the scene.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident are investigating. Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to make contact on 131 444
