Police Seek Information On Aggravated Robbery In Darwin 28 December

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following the aggravated robbery of a taxi driver in the Darwin suburb in the early hours of this morning.

About 04:40am the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre received a report that a male taxi driver had been robbed at knife point and assaulted.

Five male offenders walked in to the middle of Trower Road, which caused the taxi driver to stop his vehicle.

One of the offender then threatened the driver with a knife while another located and stole a bag containing cash.

The driver was then punched in the face and one of the cab's window was smashed before the offenders left the area.
