Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an incident in Nhulunbuy this morning.
Around 8am, a male offender assaulted a female as she walked along Providence Circuit, Pandora Circuit, Chesterfield Circuit and the pathway leading from Chesterfield to Matthew Flinders running behind the Nhulunbuy Primary School.
The male is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, around 17 to 18 years old, with short curly hair, wearing black and red cap, dark brown singlet, red knee length shorts and slides. He had a possible gap in between his front teeth.
Police are seeking any information, sightings of persons similar to this description or any private CCTV footage from people in the area. Please make contact on 131 444 and quote reference 10519182.
