Police Seek Information On Escaped Custody In Darwin

Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance to locate a 14-year-old male youth who escaped custody earlier today in Darwin.

He was subsequently sighted near a service centre on Holzerland Street in Malak at 1.25pm before fleeing the area.

Members from Strike Force Trident, the Dog Operations Unit and general duties officers have sighted him multiple times and have established a cordon, however he remains outstanding.

He was last seen heading in the direction of Fawcett Court, Malak.

He is described as being Aboriginal in appearance, 150cm tall, with a slim build.

Police do not believe he poses a risk to the public but advise people not to approach him.
