Police Seek Information On Hit And Run - Batchelor

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a hit and run incident that occurred in Batchelor this morning.

Around 7:45am, police received a report that an injured 70-year-old female cyclist had been located on Batchelor Road after allegedly being struck by a vehicle.

The cyclist was travelling westbound along Batchelor Road towards Batchelor, when she was allegedly hit and knocked off her bicycle by a motor vehicle that failed to stop.

Police and local health clinic staff attended the scene, treating the victim for non-life-threatening injuries, and a crime scene was later established.

The offending motor vehicle, believed to be a white utility vehicle, remains outstanding and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information, or with dash cam footage from the area between 7am-8am, is urged to contact police on 131 444 or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number P25011147.
