Police Seek Information On Hit And Run In Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run incident that occurred last night in Alice Springs.

At approximately 9:30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of a 29-year-old woman being struck by a vehicle on Peuce Place, Sadadeen. Emergency services attended the scene, and the woman was transported to Alice Springs Hospital with serious injuries for medical treatment.

A crime scene was established, and the Southern Traffic Operations Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the driver's or vehicle's whereabouts to contact them on 131 444 or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
