Police Seek Information On Robbery In Alice Springs 12 December

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a robbery that occurred in Alice Springs early this morning.

Around 4.50am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of a robbery at a residence at East Side. The offenders allegedly damaged the front door with edged weapons before they were confronted by the male occupant outside the residence. The offenders subsequently threatened the male with edged weapons, and he retreated behind the screen door.

The offenders continued to strike the screen door and demand alcohol which the occupant provided before the group fled the scene in a white Mitsubishi Verada that was reported stolen.

Police have since arrested two males aged 19 and 16 who are expected to be charged for their offending.

The Mitsubishi was later located abandoned South of the Gap.

One offender remains outstanding.
